In this webinar by Go Short director and film programmer Emilia Mazik, you'll learn how to get your film screened and how to submit it to festival platforms or to a distributor. Emilia talks about how festivals work, how you can further develop your short film, and she shares valuable tips and advice.

The talk is aimed at film students and filmmakers at the start of their careers. The presentation lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour. This is followed by around 20 to 30 minutes for questions.

Emilia Mazik is a freelance programmer and expert in the short film industry. She has been active in the world of short film for more than ten years. From 2014, she worked as a programmer at the Short Waves Festival in Poland, where she eventually became festival director (2019–2022). She currently works as Head of Industry at the Kaboom Animation Festival (Netherlands) and is a member of the selection committee for Film Fest Gent (Belgium) and the Glasgow Short Film Festival (Scotland). Emilia is co-founder and board member of Talking Shorts, an online film magazine about the short film medium.
